Together Joe and I have been given three amazing gifts...Dylan, Audrey and Gracelyn. Dylan is our oldest. He is such an amazing kid! My little sports nut! Neither Joe nor I are into sports, but Dylan's world revolves around sports! Not just one particular one....he loves them all! And he knows every sports statistic known to man. I once watched Sportscenter in an attempt to sound witty and engage in what he would think is an interesting conversation but I couldn't remember what player belonged to what team. The conversation ended with him not saying a word..just shaking his head and walking away. Needless to say I didn't waste anymore time watching sports shows. :) He is such a kindhearted and gentle boy. He is always looking out for his little sisters and is always caring about others needs above his own. He reminds me to slow down in life,be compassionate toward others and to enjoy life as he so does.
Next up is our spunky little Audrey. All I can say about Audrey is that she is definitely her own person and always says whatever is on her mind! (Usually at the most inappropriate times!) I must digress here for a moment and tell a small story...:) This Christmas our family was so kind to come to our house because I had just given birth to Gracelyn. Joe's dad even made his traditional chicken noodle soup and brought it. As we were eating Audrey blurts out "this soup is disgusting! It is probably the worst soup I have EVER tasted!" and yes..she said this while sitting about four inches away from her grandpa! Yep..that is my Audrey. Oh ya.. she also has a fascination with infomercials and bounty..yes the paper towel. She knows that it is the quicker picker upper! (Perhaps we have a little too much tv time in our house!) It would do her justice to say that she is the "princess" of the house. She reminds me to just enjoy life to its fullest and to laugh everyday. (If you have ever met her you know that she has this infectious laugh that is amazing!)
Lastly is our newest member..our sweet little Gracelyn! She is just so amazing to us. She has such a sweet spirit about her. She was born four weeks early so she is currently playing catch up and therefore sleeps most of the time. It is just so incredible to hold her and to love on her! (It is hard for me to grasp the fact that Dylan will be 10 this year...I feel like he was just this little and I blinked and now he is all grown up.) I just love snuggling her and wondering what God has in store for her. I wonder if she will be like Dylan or Audrey. I am so excited to start seeing her little personality! She reminds me that life is beautiful and that God is good! She is part of an amazing story that has changed our lives.....but that is for another blog!
I am SO thankful for this wonderful life that I have been given and for my family! I have been ridiculously blessed! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and meet us all! I am excited that you are here and am looking forward to sharing more of our memories with you!
